During a van camping road trip to the Adirondacks in upstate New York, we were looking for breakfast food and discovered a donut shop hidden inside a local laundromat in Tupper Lake. Genius! At the time we weren’t on a long enough trip to warrant doing laundry, but definitely book marking this for future New York adventures.
The donuts were made fresh to order. You pick the frosting and toppings, and they were made on the spot. We took several to go and then drove over to the nearby pond (what we would call a lake in Michigan), and dined al fresco.
If you’re ever in Northern New York and find yourself needing donuts and/or to do laundry, The Washboard/Donut Shoppe is a must visit.
