The last time we were passing through, we were almost to Minnesota when we realized we had not yet stocked up on Spotted Cow, and thus we Googled the closest, interesting looking place on our route and stumbled upon Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery. Jackpot! Not only did we find shelves of New Glarus beer, but also many other local cans and bottles. In addition, they had all the cheese. They had cheese curds in flavors I’d never seen before. This place was magical!
I’m sure you’d be shocked to learn that we spent a large amount of time and money there. We also befriended the entire staff, and tried all the cheese, ice cream, and then decided on sandwiches to go. Next time you’re near Minneapolis, I highly recommend a stop at Ellsworth.
